Overview

Visit Kandy, the UNESCO World Heritage Site which was the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. Then take a look at the misty hills covered by tea estates, and take a hike to the hidden gems of nature, the Raxava Mountain and Kabaragala rock. Visit a tea factory, and then climb the Ambuluwawa mountain to take a bird’s view of the hill country. Travel to the little England that is Nuwara Eliya, and take a walk across the Horton Plains up to the famous World’s End. The nostalgic British era, the estate life, and the beautiful nature will leave an experience that will never be forgotten.

Day 1 :

Arrive in Colombo. Then how about a leisurely boat ride?

Arrive in Colombo Airport and transfer to the hotel. Evening leisurely spent on the Negombo beach. Depending on arrival time a boat ride in the lagoon could be arranged. Included meals: Dinner

Day 2 :

Elephant orphanage, botanical garden, Kandy, and a hill climb.

After breakfast set out to go to Kandy. On the way visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala, and take a closer look at the gentle giants Sri Lanka is well known for. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy. Visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya. Evening take part in a trip to Ambuluwawa mountain in Gampola. Climb the seven storeyed pagoda and enjoy the view. Come back to the hotel in Kandy for dinner and a good night’s sleep. Included meals: Breakfast and dinner

Day 3 :

Hike, tea, and the Little England

After breakfast go to Gampola and take the Craighead road to Raxava, the next destination. Climb the Raxava rock, and then hike up to the Kabaragala mountain with a local guide added to the team. Enjoy the unspoilt nature at its best, and take all the photos you want, because this area is starting to become a tourist destination really fast. Homemade lunch at a local home Afternoon visit a tea factory. Take a walk on a tea estate. Evening proceed to Nuwara Eliya. On the way visit the Rambodda Waterfall. Dinner and overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya. Included meals: Breakfast and dinner

Day 4 :

The World's End

Visit the Hakgalla Botanical Garden, Race Course, and the Gregory Lake. Enjoy a boat ride in the Gregory Lake. After lunch proceed to Horton Plains. Hike to the World’s End. Visit the Ambewela farm on the way. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Included meals: Breakfast and dinner

Day 5 :

Ella

After breakfast proceed to Ella. Visit the Ravana Falls and Kithal Ella falls. Hike the little Adam’s Peak. Lunch and dinner at hotels in Ella. Included meals: Breakfast and dinner

Day 6 :

Sandy beaches and the Dutch Fortress

Proceed to Matara and Weligama. Enjoy the beach. Visit the Dutch Fortress in Galle, and explore the museums and streets, and walk on the towering walls of the fortress. Dinner in the hotel in Galle Included meals: Breakfast and dinner

Day 7 :

River Safari and Coral Reefs

River safari in the morning. Enjoy water sports if you love to. Or opt in for a glass bottom boat ride to see the colourful coral reefs in Hikkaduwa. Lunch at hotel in Hikkaduwa. Proceed to Colombo. Tour the capital city. Proceed to the airport with a treasure trove of adorable memories, and tales to tell. Included meals: Breakfast and dinner
